Beeswax Comb Foundation
Beeswax Comb Foundation
sheets have been a popular material for making candles
probably since comb foundation was first
manufactured.
Rolled candle instruction sheet
All of our coloured
Comb Foundation is manufactured from pure beeswax. The
beeswax is first filtered to remove all impurities.
This is a very important part of the processing which
allows the finished candles to burn very cleanly because
of the purity of the beeswax.
The filtered beeswax
then has all of the colour removed so that the beeswax
is white. This enables us to obtain very vibrant
colours once we add the special oil soluble dyes.

Wax bloom
After a few months in
cool conditions, beeswax can develop a white powdery
appearance known as "bloom". This is a natural
property of beeswax and can be easily removed by
carefully warming the beeswax in the sun or with a
hairdryer, fan heater etc, or it can be left for its
rustic effect.
